After I had my son Sky, I started seeing themes for kids' shirts in my head. A mix of old school and modern themes played off one another regularly. Alongside these early seeds of thought, I noticed a significant resurgence of '80s and '90s nostalgia shows. It brought me back to the things I loved in my childhood and hoped to share with my son.

This nostalgia of music, pop culture and movies started to blend with my observations of raising a kid. I wanted to make shirts that matched the big energy and personality of kids, but that also spoke to parents' own coming of age.

I started sketching out designs, and before I knew it, I was on a year-long journey to develop Ambitious Kids. As Sky wore my beta shirts, people would always comment or smile at him. Then it occurred to me: kids' clothing has the power to create fun and positive interactions with others. II brought this new energy to my designs, taught myself to draw, and learned to develop these prototypical designs to bring the world in my head to life. I obsessed over typography, colors, fabrics, and the emotional reaction I wanted the shirt to create in people.

Customers describe Ambitious Kids as a modern brand with a retro soul, and I couldn't have said it better myself. We want Ambitious Kids to bring smiles, laughter, and love to the kids who sport it. We want kids to learn to love one another, listen to each other, be curious, and never stop learning. We hope we have done that with our products and we commit to always improving our brand.

My name is Kyle, I'm the founder of Ambitious Kids. I'm also a dad to a 3-year-old Sky. You'll see a lot of his personality traits in the shirts. He is one heck of a negotiator, has questionable dance moves, is an old soul but has no problem melting down the entire island. He can snuggle just as fast as he can act like your manager. Needless to say, we have a pretty good time.
